ANNOUNCEMENT
Ιn the frame of decision 3/347/12.7.2995 of the BoD of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and in reply to its letter 5579/14.12.2007, relating to the announcement of 13/12/2007, Proton Bank, notes the following:
As already stated in the announcement of 13/12/2007 preliminary discussions have been held between Bank Hapoalim and shareholders of Proton Bank regarding a potential sale of existing shares of the Bank .
At this early stage of the negotiations Proton Bank is not aware of the participation percentage that may be acquired or the purchase price that may be paid. If, and as soon as, it becomes aware of the terms of any agreement, Proton Bank shall revert with a new announcement in order to inform its shareholders and the investor community, pursuant to the applicable regulatory framework.
As already stated in the announcement of 13/12/2007 preliminary discussions have been held between Bank Hapoalim and shareholders of Proton Bank regarding a potential sale of existing shares of the Bank .
