Financial statements of 30 September 2007

According to the financial statements of 30 September 2007, which have been compiled according to the International Financial Reporting Standards, the 9-month 2007 financial results of TERNA Energy are highlighted as follows:
Consolidated turnover reached EUR 40.4 million versus EUR 24.5 million in the 9-month 2007 period posting growth of 64.6%.
Operating profitability (EBITDA) settled at EUR 17.9 million, higher by 61.7% as compared to the same period last year. Earnings before taxes surged to EUR 12.2 million versus EUR 6.4 million in the 9-month period of 2006, demonstrating an increase of 88.4%.
Earnings after taxes and minorities interest accounted for EUR 9.4 million versus EUR 5.1 million in the 9-month period of 2006, higher by 82.7% y-o-y.
The Company is undergoing a strong investment plan in the area of renewable sources of energy. During the past months, TERNA Energy completed the installation of its 8th wind park, raising its total installed capacity to 118 MW.
As far as international activities are concerned, the Company is in the process to be granted with licenses for 160 MW, whereas it has proceeded with R&D for another 200 MW. It is expected that TERNA Energy will initiate the construction of its first international wind park within the 1st half 2008.
