MARFIN POPULAR BANK PUBLIC CO LTD announces, in accordance to Law 3340/2005, Law 3556/2007, Decision 1/434/3.7.2007 and Circular 33 of Hellenic Capital Market Commission, that on 6.11.2007 MARFIN INVESTMENT GROUP HOLDINGS S.A., person closely associated to the Managers of the Bank, Andreas Vgenopoulos, Group Chief Executive Officer, and Fotios Karatzenis, Head of the Legal Department, 39,500,000 shares of the Company of total value of euro 440,030,000.00, which the Company is entitled to acquire pursuant to the terms of a financial instrument (total return equity swap), with the relevant voting rights exercised pursuant to the Company?s instructions.
