The financial figures and the income statement confirm PROTON BANK's constant trend to achieve high growth rates. The strategy and profitable course are also boosted by the completion of the merger by absorption of OMEGA BANK. PROTON BANK keeps moving forward with a fast pace, in a course of dynamic but rational development, expanding its branch network, as well as its market share in all areas of activity. FIGURES AT A GLANCE
- Loans and receivables, less provisions amounted to euros 1.332.54 showing a 58,65% increase compared to the respective previous period. Deposits from customers totalled to euros1.428,16, having increased by 42,23%. Total Assets for Proton Bank Group amounted to euros 2.257,27, being increased by 47.42%. Consolidated turnover amounted to euros 97.96 (30.9.2006 figure: euros 41.01), whereas the respective non-consolidated figure reached euros 76.18 (30.9.2006 figure: euros 39.17).
- Consolidated profit before tax amounted to euros 32.98 (30.9.2006: euros 30.47), while consolidated profit after tax attributable to equity holders of the Bank reached euros 27.41 (30.9.2006: euros 26.63).
- Net interest income for the period between 1/01 and 30/9 amounted to euros 33.15 (30.9.2006: euros 4.66) while net commission income amounted respectively to euros 30.68 (30.9.2006: euros 11.90).
- Profit before tax for the Group amounted to euros 32.69 (30.9.2006:euros 29.71), while its profit after tax reached euros27.37 (30.9.2006: euros 26.06).
- The branch network currently comprises of 28 branches as opposed to 18 branches twelve months ago, while a total of 29 branches are expected to be in operation by the end of 2007.
It should be noted, that any 2007 figures are not directly comparable with the respective figures of 2006, due to the recent merger between PROTON BANK S.A. with OMEGA BANK S.A. and PROTON SECURITIES S.A. In general, however, performance indicators are particularly satisfactory, since all parent and consolidated figures exhibit an upward trend.
