Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd announces in accordance to Law 3556/2007, that on 24 August, 2007 Morgan Stanley gave it notice of the sale of 6.453.565 shares of the Bank registered in the name of Morgan Stanley & Co International Plc and Morgan Stanley & Co Incorporated New York, at an average price of euro 8,959. According to the company's notification, following the sale of the above shares the percentage of voting rights of Morgan Stanley & Co International Plc and Morgan Stanley & Co Incorporated New York, was reduced from 5,359% to 4,549%.
