NIREUS SA Announces Market Maker Appointment
A. NIREUS S.A. announces that the BoD of the Athens Exchange on its 24.1.2008 meeting approved its application for the market making on the company's listed shares and granted Beta Securities a license to act as the market maker. The market making will start on the 29th of January 2008 and is designed to enhance the liquidity for Nireus' shares on the Athens Exchange. Nireus SA has entered a contractual agreement for market making with Beta Securities with the following basic terms and conditions:
1. Beta securities will undertake on its own account market making operations comprising of simultaneous purchase and sale orders involving minimum quantities of Nireus' shares according to the terms and provisions of the current legislation. For this service Nireus will pay a market maker's fee to Beta Securities.
2. The market making contract has an one (1) year duration.
3. To facilitate the market making process and in light of the possible risks the market maker is taking, Beta Securities has signed an agreement with the shareholders of Nireus SA Mr. Belles Aristidis of Stergios and Mr. Chaviaras Nicholaos of Emmanuel that provide for their obligation to conclude repurchase agreements on the Derivatives Market of the Athens Exchange.
B.
