96 m euro IT Support Services contract awarded to a consortium with INTRASOFT International, by the European Commission

One of the largest IT Outsourcing projects for the provision of integrated on and off-site IT services for the European Commission, has been awarded to a consortium participating INTRASOFT International, a subsidiary of INTRACOM IT Services. The total estimated budget of the project is euro 96 m, while INTRASOFT International's participation amounts to euro 32 m. The other members of the consortium are SIEMENS and Getronics.
The project, which concerns IT Support Services - User Proximity Services (ITSS UPS), has been awarded by the Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT), following an international call for tenders and has a duration of six years. It is designed to follow a common framework, offering an integrated approach to serve the 29.000 users of the 34 General Directorates and the various Agencies of the European Commission as one, and to manage the entire IT Stock, across all sites of the European Commission. It involves the provision of services related to central help-desk, first and second level IT user support and full logistics support and places primary emphasis on ensuring users' satisfaction by guaranteeing the quality and the coherency of the services and by improving their cost-effectiveness on a continuous basis. The project is expected to be delivered by more than 250 qualified engineers.
