One of the biggest public sector IT projects for the Kingdom of Jordan was awarded to INTRACOM IT Services. The contract of $ 17 million concerns the supply and implementation of the Government Financial Management Information System (GFMIS) of the Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of Jordan. The prestigious contract signing ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Finance of Jordan, in Amman, last Saturday. The 3 year project was awarded to INTRACOM IT Services following a long and very intensive international tendering process, in which major IT companies participated.
Dr. Hamed Kasasbeh, H.E. Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Jordan, stated that "the signing of this agreement is an important step towards the development of a unified platform for the management of the government financials. It constitutes an integral part of the Ministry's Financial Management Reform Strategy and the Initiatives of the National Agenda".
Mr. Nikolaos Labroukos, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of INTRACOM IT Services, stated: "The trust that the Kingdom of Jordan has showed us is a great honor for us. The award of such a crucial public administration project highlights the unique know how of our company in government financials and e-government solutions. At the same time, it enhances our international growth, which is our primary strategic focus.
