COSMOTE MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS S.A. announces that its customer base exceeded 15.5 million customers at the end of 2007 in the five South Eastern European countries it operates, well ahead than the initial 2009 target.
In just two and a half years since COSMOTE's aggressive expansion in three more South East European countries, the Company has accomplished one in three consumers throughout its footprint to be a COSMOTE customer.
COSMOTE Group?s Deputy CEO, Mr. Michael Tsamaz, announced this important milestone during the annual employees's celebration, which also marked the 10th anniversary of COSMOTE?s commercial operations.
COSMOTE is today the mobile operator with the widest presence in South East Europe. Its strong momentum and ability to continuously attract new customers in all markets allow the Group to set even higher goals.
Commenting on the 15 million customer milestone, Mr. Tsamaz stated: "10 years since the beginning of its operations COSMOTE is stronger than ever; with over 15.5 million customers and a competitive products and services portfolio, responding to the needs of today?s consumers, COSMOTE enjoys today one of the fastest growth rates in the European telecoms sector.
