In Q1 2008 consolidated turnover reached 74,2 m euros vs 77,9 m euros the same period last year. The reduction is exclusively caused by price reduction of medical consumables due to a price regulation. Total patient flow (inpatient & outpatient) increased by 8,2% in 1Q2008.
Consolidated EBITDA reached 14,1 m euros vs 15,3 m euros in 1Q 2007 and consequently there was a reduction in consolidated profits after tax and minorities to 6,4 m euros vs 7,9 m euros the same period last year. The EBITDA was mainly negatively affected by the 1m euros loss of the new clinic in Peristeri.
Following the 1Q2008 result for FY2008 results are expected to remain at the level of 2007 ie/ consolidated turnover of 279 m euros and EBITDA of 44 m euros.
