Alapis SA announces that according to the letter received on the 1st of August by the Evaluation Committee concerning the International Open Call for Tenders for the Concession of the Container Terminal within the Port of Thessaloniki, the consortium consisting of the companies Hutshison Port Holdings Limited, ("HPHL"), Hutshison Ports Investments Sarl ("HPI"), Alapis S.A. ("Alapis"), L.Y.D. S.A. ("LYD") (collectively, "the Consortium") was proclaimed provisional higher bidder given that on the 22nd of July 2008, during the opening οf the dossiers submitted by the contestants, the Consortium according to the classification table submitted the highest bid.
The consortium will attain all required action as specified in paragraph 165 of the Call for Tenders in order to be appointed as the provisional concessionaire and to commence negotiations for the Concession Agreement.
