In 1H 2008 consolidated turnover reached 148 m euros vs 150,2 m euros the same period last year. The reduction is exclusively caused by price reduction of medical consumables due to a price regulation. Patient flow increased by 5,6% in 1H2008.
Consolidated EBITDA reached 23,9 m euros vs 25,9 m euros in 1H 2007 and consequently there was a reduction in consolidated profits after tax and minorities to 9,9 m euros vs 12 m euros the same period last year. The EBITDA was mainly negatively affected by the 1,7m euros loss of the new clinic in Peristeri.
In Q2 2008 turnover consolidated turnover reached 73,8 m euros, consolidated EBITDA 9,8 m euros and consolidated profit after tax and minorities 3,5 m euros vs 72,2 m euros, 10,5 m euros and 4,1 m euros respectively.
The trend observed in 2Q 2008 confirms the uptrend in quarterly results compared to the quarterly results in FY 2007 and based on the above for the FY2008 management maintains its forecast for consolidated turnover and EBITDA at FY207 level.
