Intracom IT Services signs a euro 7,2 million contract with the Piraeus Port Authority S.A.

Intracom IT Services, the leading Greek provider of IT services, has undertaken the upgrading and expansion of the Piraeus Port Authority S.A. P-MIS IT systems, following an international tender. This euro 7,2 million award will run for 16 months and renews the long standing and excellent cooperation between the two companies.
The purpose of the project is to provide, install and configure the hardware systems and the specialised port management software in high availability terms, in order to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the company. In this context, Intracom IT Services will utilize available technologies based on international standards, with an aim to align the company's IT systems with its anticipated expansion in capacity and range of services. More specifically, the project includes the upgrading of the operational and the existing administrative and financial applications, as well as the transition of the applications and the data of the company, with the simultaneous operation of the old and the new system. Intracom IT Services will also undertake the training of the personnel of the Piraeus Port Authority and the transfer of know how for all the hardware, software and the new functions, as well as the provision of maintenance services and technical support. The contract also includes an option for the provision of SLA-based services for a total duration of 60 months, following the expiration of the guarantee and good operation period.
This project confirms the unparallel know how of Intracom IT Services and strengthens its activities in the area of specialized solutions and services for the commercial port sector. At the same time it enhances its strategic cooperation with NAVIS, a leading provider of commercial port management solutions, laying solid foundations for new projects in Greece and abroad.
