No. 36954/03.10.2008 regarding publications which appeared on the same said date in the NAFTEMPORIKI, KATHIMERINI and ELEFTHEROTYPIA newspapers, our Company would like to state that both the holding company and the subsidiaries of the MYTILINEOS Group are having talks about potential cooperation with other companies active in the wider energy market, as part of the Group's business strategy which is aimed at expanding operations and seeking opportunities for synergies. Furthermore, the Company's standard practice is to release announcements to the investing public in the case of events whose disclosure is required in accordance with the Athens Stock Exchange Regulation and with the applicable laws laying down the obligations of listed companies.
The above also apply to comments on publications that refer to an impending association between ENDESA HELLAS S.A., a partly-owned subsidiary of MYTILINEOS Holdings S.A., and MOTOR OIL (HELLAS) S.A., involving participation in a joint power generation company.
