MYTILINEOS HOLDINGS S.A. announces that Mr Spyridon Kasdas, Aluminium Metallurgy & Bauxite Mining Division Director of the Group and Managing Director of the wholly-owned subsidiary ALUMINIUM OF GREECE S.A., submitted his resignation on 31.12.2008, after a successful career in the metallurgy industry that spanned forty years. Mr Kasdas held the above positions during the last three years, and will be succeeded by Mr Dimitrios Stefanidis, who will take over as Aluminium Metallurgy & Bauxite Mining Division Director of the Group and Managing Director of ALUMINIUM OF GREECE S.A. Mr Stefanidis, a graduate of the School of Mining Engineering and Metallurgy of the National Technical University of Athens, has a successful career record in the aluminium industry in Greece, France and Australia, and for the last three years has been Plant Manager of the industrial plant of ALUMINIUM OF GREECE S.A. in Agios Nikolaos, Viotia, with excellent results. Mr Kasdas will continue to contribute to the Group's growth in his capacity as Member of the Board of Directors of ALUMINIUM S.A.
Mr Stefanidis will assume his new duties on 2 January 2009.
