Euromedica S.A. hereby informs its shareholders and the investing public that, on 24/11/08, a societe anonyme was established together with medical doctors in Kozani aiming at the founding and operation of a Physical Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, for open and closed hospitalization, with a capacity of 80 beds.
The center will be built in the greater Kozani area and will target the whole of West Macedonia, thus it will upgrade the quality of service provision in the public health and welfare sector, since there is currently no similar center in the region of Western Macedonia.
The company's initial share capital amounts to euro 809,500, 75 % of which has been covered by fourteen medical doctor shareholders and 25 % by Euromedica S.A. The total amount of the investment is estimated at 10 million euros and around 100 new job-positions will be created.
It is expected that the construction of the center will start in summer 2009 and that it will commence its operations at the end of 2010.
Euromedica Group currently owns two Physical Rehabilitation and Recovery Centers already in operation in the Larissa area, and another four under construction in Thessaloniki, Karditsa, Kavala and Patras. Through the operation of the new center it will gain presence in the rehabilitation and recovery sector with seven centers throughout Greece.
In addition to the above-mentioned Physical Rehabilitation and Recovery Centers, Euromedica Group currently owns 16 hospitals, one of which is under construction, and 53 medical centers. The total number of the Group?s medical units in operation and under construction is 76.
Specifically in the rehabilitation and recovery sector, the company aims to ensure provision of high quality services transnationally, which will benefit the entire population of Greece, part of which is currently seeking such services abroad.
