In reference to the letter of Hellenic Market Capital Commission (R.Nr 217 & dated 20/1/2009) relating to the article of Newspaper "Imerisia" dated January 20, 2009 and in order to be in accordance with article 2 of the BoD's decision 5/204/2000 of the aforementioned authority, we would like to inform the Athens Stock Exchange and the investment community with the following:
The company Minoan Lines S.A. and the company Societe Nationale Maritime Corse Mediterrannee (SNCM) agreed on January 20, 2009 for the sale of the vessel Pasiphae Palace at a total price of ? 75,000,000. The completion of this transaction is expected to be concluded on the second half of March 2009 with the delivery of the vessel.
Minoan Lines will replace the vessel Pasiphae Palace on the routes be-tween Greece and Italy where it is deployed.
