Widening of the network of psychiatric clinics and expansion into provision of home nursing services
Euromedica SA hereby informs its shareholders and the investing public that its subsidiary, "Private Neuropsychiatric Clinic KASTALIA S.A.", in which it holds a 50% share, and which operates a Psychiatric Clinic in Karditsa, has established a new limited company, "KASTALIA AHAIAS PRIVATE PSYCHIATRIC CLINIC SA". The registered office of the new company is in the Municipality of Patras and its main object is the operation of a new Psychiatric Clinic in Patras. The company's initial share capital amounts to 960,000 euros, 50% of which is owned by "Private Neuropsychiatric Clinic KASTALIA S.A.", while the remaining 50% is distributed among 22 investor-doctors from Patras.
The company intends to build a new Psychiatric Clinic, with a capacity of 200 beds, on privately owned land of approximately 20,000 square meters, for an expected total investment of 12 million euros.
It is noted that Euromedica SA, through the abovementioned participation, will widen its network of psychiatric clinics, since it already owns 50% of the shares of "Private Neuropsychiatric Clinic KASTALIA S.A." in Karditsa plus 50% of the shares of "HIPPOCRATES - PRIVATE NEYROPSYCHIATRIC CLINIC" in Thessaloniki, and is also negotiating its participation in other psychiatric clinics in different areas of Greece.
In addition, Euromedica SA has established a new limited company under the name of "GENERAL NURSING SA NURSING SERVICES". The registered office of the new company is in the Municipality of Thessaloniki and its main object is the provision of home nursing services. Its initial share capital amounts to 150,000 euros, 51% of which is owned by Euromedica SA, while various parties, and in particular businessmen who are active in the area of home nursing services provision, participate in the remainder.
The company intends to conduct its activities initially in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki and in the neighbouring prefectures (Pieria, Halkidiki, Kilkis) and, subsequently, throughout the whole of Greece.
Lastly, Euromedica SA's subsidiary "IKEDA", in which Euromedica holds a 51% share, and whose registered office is in Albania, has established another three small medical centers in the areas of Babru, Kucova and Bilisht.
Through "IKEDA" the Euromedica group has already been active in the primary health sector in Albania, since May 2008, operating another two medical centers in Tirana and Sukth, whereas the medical center in Kavaja has ceased operations following reassessment of the company's strategic expansion.
The Euromedica group currently comprises 81 units: more specifically it owns 56 medical centers, 16 clinics and 9 rehabilitation centers (6 of which are under construction).
