In application of the provisions of section 4.1.3.1 of the Athens Exchange new Regulation and of article 10 par. 1 of Law 3340/2005, SPRIDER STORES S.A. announces that on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 the ordinary tax audit for the fiscal years 2007 ? 2008 was concluded. The audit imposed to the Company tax discrepancies amounting euro 2.080.019,20, which resulted to income tax charges of euro 521.775,66, surtaxes of euro 94.176,34 and a difference in income tax prepayment to be offset within FY 2009 euro 220,000.00. The Company paid one fifth (1/5) of the above sum at the closing of the settlement, while the rest will be paid in 24 equal monthly non interest bearing installments.
It must be noted that the Company has already formed a provision for the above unaudited years, amounting euro 350.000,00, which has accordingly reduced its net earnings for the FY 2008. Consequently, the net earnings at the financial statements of the first half of 2009, will be burdened by the additional amount of euro 265.952,00.
