The company "Emporiki Bank of Greece S.A.", according to provisions of L. 3556/2007 (article 9, paragraph 5), coupled with the decision no.1/434/03.07.2007 and the Circular no. 33/03.07.2007 of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, announces that, following the decision made by the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Shareholders, held on 26/02/2009, on the Bank s share capital increase by way of cash payment and rights offering to existing shareholders, its share capital has increased by cash payment by 849,511,894.00 euro, with the issue and disposal of 154,456,708 new, ordinary, dematerialized, registered shares with a nominal value of 5.50 euro per share. This decision has been approved upon the decision no Κ2-4632/06.05.2009 made by the General Secretariat of Trade of the Ministry of Development (Government Gazette 3253/07.05.2009 issue on SA and LTD) and further to that the BoD of the Athens Stock Exchange, during its meeting of 07/05/2009, approved the listing of these 154,456,708 new shares, starting on 11/05/2009.
Thus, the Bank s share capital amounts now to 1,577,664,968.00 euro and is divided into 286,848,176 shares with a nominal value of 5.50 euro per share, representing 286,848,176 voting rights.
