Following the publication of its annual financial statements, and as part of its ongoing investor relations, ASPIS BANK held a corporate presentation of its activities in 2008 and priorities for the upcoming years.
The presentation focused on the analysis of the full year 2008 results, the actions taken by the Management of the Bank during 2008 to accomplish its main strategic targets and the action plan for 2009.
At the presentation of full year 2008 results, the speakers underlined that during 2008 the Bank completed several actions with long-term benefits for the Bank's growth aimed at strengthening and immunizing it against the ongoing crisis. They focused on the revised business model, which emphasizes on consumer credit and SME financing. They also referred to the actions taken to boost liquidity and rationalize operating expenses in order that the Bank returns to a profitable base.
In closing, they stated that the implementation of the new strategy will continue unhindered and that, complementary actions will be taken, if necessary, so that its results will become evident in the Bank's profit and loss accounts in 2009.
