Financial Calendar (updated for the special dividend).
As part of the obligations of the Company to inform investors, Hellenic Exchanges SA updates the financial calendar for 2009 in order to include the special dividend (share capital return) which was approved by the BoD of HELEX on February 23rd 2009:
- Release of Fiscal Year 2008 Results: Monday February 23rd 2009
- Release of First Quarter 2009 Results: Monday May 4th 2009
- Annual General Meeting of Shareholders: Wednesday May 6th 2009
- Ex-dividend date: Wednesday May 13th 2009
- Dividend beneficiaries - Record date: Friday May 15th 2009 *
* In accordance with the new, revised ATHEX Rulebook, starting on Jan 1st 2009, corporate actions take place based on "record dates", replacing the "trade date" rule. Based on the new rule, beneficiaries of the corporate action (in this case of the dividend) are those investors who are registered in the DSS on the relevant record date.
- Dividend payment date: Thursday May 21st 2009
- Release of Six Month 2009 Results: Wednesday July 29th 2009
- Ex-special dividend: Wednesday September 9th 2009
- Special dividend beneficiaries - record date: Friday September 11th 2009
- Special dividend payment date: Thursday September 17th 2009
- Release of Nine Month 2009 Results: Thursday October 29th 2009
The fiscal year 2008 dividend will be paid out through Piraeus Bank. Piraeus Bank will credit the operators' accounts, and they in turn will credit the beneficiaries' accounts.
The ex-date and the payment date for the special dividend (share capital return) are subject to approval by the General Meeting of shareholders.
It should be noted that the ex-date for the rights to both the dividend and the special dividend (share capital return) will take place before the expiration of the current series of derivatives, in which the share of the Company is an underlying security.
The Company would like to clarify that the results will be released after the end of trading on Athens Exchange on the release day, on the Company's website (www.helex.gr) as well as the website of Athens Exchange (www.athex.gr). The results will be published in the press two working days following their publication on the Company's website.
