Proton Bank S.A. would like to inform the investment community that the Board of Directors, in its meeting on 21.5.2009, certified the full payment of the increase in the Bank's share capital by euro 80,000,000.00 which was decided by the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on 28.1.2009, in accordance with article 1 of law 3723/2008, through the issue of redeemable non-voting 17,817,371 preference shares, subscribed to and fully paid by the Greek State with bonds it has issued of equivalent value.
It is also announced that pursuant to a relevant decision of the Minister of Finance and Financial Affairs Mr. Stamatis Mavros was appointed as representative of the State.
