Participation in a Medical Centre in Lemnos
Euromedica SA would like to inform shareholders and the investing public that it has entered to an agreement for a 49% participation in the societe anonyme"MEDICAL CENTRE OF LEMNOS MEDICAL SA", which operates a Medical Centre in Lemnos. Before the acquisition, the company will absorb the only Radiology Laboratory on the island of Lemnos, in order to create a multifunctional integrated medical centre, with medical doctors of various specialties working in the following departments: microbiology, standard X-ray, computerized tomography, mammography and ultrasound -triplex and osteoporosis. The new medical centre will enhance the services of primary health care offered to the inhabitants of Lemnos. The price to be paid by the Company for this acquisition amounts to 680,000 Euros.
With this participation, the overall Euromedica Group network of medical centres now expands to 57. It now owns 20 medical centres in Attica, 7 in Thessaloniki, plus the EUROGENETIKA laboratory, 2 in Crete, 3 in Volos, 2 in Larissa, 2 in Serres, 2 in Trikala, and 1 in each of the following cities: Ptolemaida, Kozani, Alexandroupoli, Corinth, Mytilene, Katerini, Kastoria, Kavala, Corfu, Didimoticho, Grevena, Karditsa and Lemnos, along with five centres that operate in Albania.
In addition, Euromedica Group currently operates (or is going to operate) 17 hospitals and 9 rehabilitation centres nationwide, which, together with its 57 medical centres create a network of 83 units, which operate in the primary, secondary healthcare and rehabilitation sectors.
