New Director of Strategy, M&A and Corporate Development.
Nireus SA announces that Mr. Vasilis Theofanopoulos joined the Group as the new Director of Strategy, M&A and Corporate Development. Mr. Theofanopoulos will be responsible for Nireus Group's strategy development, the execution of potential acquisitions and assessment of potential investment opportunities. He will report to Mr. Aristides Belles, President and CEO of Nireus Group.
Mr. Theofanopoulos has more than 10 years of experience in international corporate finance, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Nireus, he worked for the Financial Sponsors Group of J.P.Morgan's investment banking division in London, serving major European private equity clients. Mr. Theofanopoulos serves as the Treasurer on the Board of the Hellenic Bankers Association in the UK. He has advised on over 40 Greek and cross-border M&A transactions as a Senior Manager at Deloitte Corporate Finance in Athens. He has also worked as an analyst in Andersen Consulting and EFG Eurobank. He holds an MBA with Distinction from London Business School with concentration in Finance, Strategy & Private Equity and a BSc in Economics from the University of Piraeus.
