Further to its announcement dated 20/03/2009 concerning the issue of Capital Securities up to the amount of Euro 250 million, Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd (the "Bank") announces the successful completion of the issue, which amounted to Euro 242.229.000. The issue was addressed to a limited group of individuals, professional investors and individuals who invested at least Euro 50.000 each. The Capital Securities will bear a fixed interest rate of 7% and the interest will be payable every three months.
The Bank would like to thank the investors for the increased interest they showed for the issue, which is a vote of confidence to the results and prospects of the Marfin Popular Bank Group.
The Bank intends to submit an application to have the Capital Securities listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
The Capital Securities will contribute to the further enhancement of the Hybrid Tier I Capital of the Bank.
