INTRACOM IT Services, the leading provider of IT services in Greece, has signed a contract with the Greek Ministry of Economy & Finance for the implementation of the project "Adaptation of the Integrated Information System (IIS) of the Ministry of Economy & Finance to meet the requirements of the 2007-2013 Programming Period". The total budget amounts to euro 646.950 (excluding VAT) plus an option right of euro 840.000 (excluding VAT) and the project duration extents to 26 months.
The Integrated Information System (IIS) of the Ministry of Economy & Finance is the official administration tool for all Operational Programmes and projects funded by EU Community Support Framework and EU Cohesion Fund. In addition, IIS supports the administration of all projects funded by the Public Investment Program (with or without EU co-finance) as well as Private Investments funded through the National Development Law.
The project's scope deals with the IIS adaptation and modification, in order to meet the requirements of the new National Strategic Reference Framework for EU Structural Funds and its corresponding System needs for Administration, Control and Audit processes, as well as the end-user requirements, in full compliance with the 2007-2013 Programming Period. The project incorporates the specialized service provision from a highly skilled team of INTRACOM IT Services professionals.
The project for the adaptation of the IIS further enhances INTRACOM IT Services' activity in large IT projects for the modernization of the public administration, especially in Information Systems for the management of co-funded projects. The project follows the successful implementation of a similar IIS for the Romanian Ministry of Finance.
