Steps for the immediate continuation of works at Votanikos
The estimation of our company, that the reason for the suspension of the project at Votanikos was only the deficit in the ratio of open green areas, was confirmed after the issuance of the decision no 3059/2009 by the plenary session of the Council of State.
It becomes clear that in order for the project of the Joint Redevelopment to continue unobstructed it is essential for all parties involved to take the necessary steps that will enable the State to take measures in accordance with the decision issued.
As we have already stated, our company commits itself to proceed, in accordance with article 242 par. 2 of the Urban Planning Code or any other way the State suggests, to the concession of the open area of building block 45a to common use in order for the said area to become common use green area as commanded in thought 21 of the decision.
We expect that all parties involved will take similar actions in order for the State to take promptly the necessary measures for the completion of the Joint Redevelopment without any further delays.
The construction of the Panathinaikos football stadium and of the shopping mall are inseparable. The approval of the Environmental Study and the issuance of the building permit of the stadium based on it are related to concessions made by our company, under the condition of the unobstructed continuation of the construction works of our building on building block 45a.
In any case our company is ready to cooperate with all parties, in order to achieve an even development to the rest of the proceedings, as well as defend with any legal means the rights of its shareholders and its employees.
