New euro 500 million 3-Year bond issue successfully launched
Piraeus Bank announces the successful launch of its new 3-Year, euro 500 million senior bond issue. The bond was issued under Piraeus Bank's Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme and the issuer is the Bank's subsidiary Piraeus Group Finance PLC. The international markets received the issue with great interest and the orderbook reached euro 730 million in a few hours (1.5 times oversubscribed). A total of 85 investors from 20 countries participated, with almost 65% of the amount finally being allocated to international investors. This bond complements Piraeus Bank's benchmark yield curve and re-enforces Piraeus Bank status as an issuer in the international markets.
The new 3-year bond is a fixed rate note with a coupon of 4.00% and shall be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The transaction was lead-managed by Barclays, Citigroup Natixis and UBS.
