In the context of decision 3/347/12.07.2005 of the BoD of CMC and the subsequent explanatory Circular No. 36 dated 16.05.2008, Emporiki Bank wishes to remind that through its press release, dated 26/02/2009, relating to the financial results for the year 2008, it had stated that it is " ... in the process of elaborating a new Business Plan, since the adverse economic environment made a revision of the plan announced in 2007 imperative".
The need to revise the Business Plan came as a result of the significant deviation of the actual economic situation versus the assumptions upon which the plan had been based, making it - as a result - invalid and unenforceable.
Emporiki Bank is close to finalizing a new Business Plan for the period 2010 - 2014. The key elements of this new Business Plan are planned to be released on 7th October 2009.
