Intracom IT Services Group, the leading provider of IT Services in Southeast Europe and the Middle East, has been awarded a 2.6 million contract by the European Union and the European Union Commission Liaison Office to Kosovo. Intracom It Services will be responsible for customs and taxation administrations supporting. The project EuropeAid/127843/D/SER/KOS will run for 24 months and confirms the long standing of the Intracom IT Services Group in the region.
The purpose of the project is to improve the capacity of the customs and tax administration and its transformation into a modern administration, serving society, enjoying public confidence and meeting EU requirements and standards. The main areas that the project will be involved with are:
- providing technical assistance to customs and tax administrations,
- legal advisory services on drafting legal instruments, implementing provisions and instructions related to customs and taxation,
- delivering training to customs and tax administrations.
The direct beneficiary of the project is the tax administration and customs service of Kosovo.
This project confirms the excellent know-how of Intracom IT Services Group and strengthens its activities in the area of specialized solutions and services for the government financial sector. At the same time it enhances its strategic position in the region, laying solid foundations for new projects.
