The Greek Social Security Organization (IKA) awards a € 8.5 million contract to INTRACOM IT Services Group
INTRACOM IT Services, the leading provider of integrated IT services in Greece, has signed a contract with the Greek Social Security Organization for the implementation of the project "Provision of SLA-based Managed Services and population of the production Databases for the Operational Support of the Integrated Information System and the Website of the Social Security Organization". The total budget amounts to € 8.549,912 including VAT and will run for 30 months, with an option of 10 additional months.
The Integrated Information System, combined with the website of the Greek Social Security Organization, is one of the largest IT systems in Greece, developed by Intracom IT Services. More than 8,000 Social Security employees in 300 offices across Greece use the system, as well as 5.000,000 people and 430,000 employers are served daily, as it offers several functions that incorporate the procedures & regulations of the biggest Social Security Organization in Greece.
The aim of this project is to support the operation of the system and its website, so as to deliver uninterrupted and high-quality services to its users as well as the citizens.
INTRACOM IT Services will support the operation of the Integrated Information System and the website of the Social Security Organization, in relation to infrastructure, business application and help desk. In addition, INTRACOM IT Services will provide application development services to enhance the existing business application, so that the Integrated Information System will have the capacity to support the continuously changing business needs of the Organization. In addition, INTRACOM IT Services will transfer the relevant know-how of its highly-skilled professionals to the Social Security employees. All service provision is governed by a Service Level Agreement, which stipulates the evaluation of the level of services offered by INTRACOM IT Services based on a set of measurable objectives and key performance indicators.
Through this project, INTRACOM IT Services enhances its activity in large IT projects aiming at the modernization of Public Administration, and especially in IT systems for Social Security Administrations. Towards this direction, INTRACOM IT Services has successfully implemented a Pilot Medical Expense Clearance IT system for the Greek Ministry of Social Security, as well as the Information System of the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova (SPIS).
