INTRACOM IT SERVICES Group expands its international activity in the Middle East region
INTRACOM IT SERVICES Middle East & Africa, member of INTRACOM IT SERVICES Group, has been awarded four (4) new projects, worth $ 4.7 million, in the Middle East region.
Specifically, INTRACOM IT SERVICES Middle East & Africa will implement the second phase of the EMC Information Life-Cycle Management (ILM) project at Zain Jordan, by adding additional components to the initial set up. Zain Group is a leading mobile and data services operator in 23 Middle Eastern and African countries with a workforce of over 13,000, providing services to over 72.5 million customers. The project has a budget of $ 2 million and is planned to be completed in July 2010.
In addition, the company has signed an EMC2 SAN Upgrade and Archiving project for Orange Jordan, to cover its needs to efficiently archive its inactive data. France Telecom Orange is one of the world's leading telecommunication operators, serving more than 182 million customers in five continents. The project has a budget of $ 1 million and is planned to be completed in July 2010.
Furthermore, INTRACOM IT SERVICES Middle East & Africa has undertaken an EMC2 Disaster Recovery and Storage project for Jawwal, involving the provision of the required capacity for company's applications, as well as the upgrading of its Disaster Recovery. Jawwal is the first mobile service provider to provide comprehensive mobile coverage in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza Strip), serving more than 500,000 customers. The project has a budget of $ 900,000 and is planned to be completed in June 2010.
Finally, INTRACOM IT SERVICES Middle East & Africa has been awarded the implementation of ORACLE Human Resources Management System (HRMS) for Asia Cell, the only mobile telecommunications operator that provides full coverage in Iraq, with a network of 6 million subscribers. The project involves the provision of a comprehensive Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to serve more than 2,000 employees in major cities in Iraq, has a budget of $ 800,000 and is planned to be completed in September 2011.
These projects mark another successful step for INTRACOM IT SERVICES Middle East & Africa to reinforce its dynamic presence and activity in the Middle East region, and are consistent with the Group strategy for continuous expansion of its international activity.
