In reply to the letter of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission of 31.05.2010 (protοcol no. 2172) concerning article 5 of l. 3845/2010 (Government Gazette issue A' 65/06.05.2010) regarding the one-off special levy for social responsibility on fiscal year 2010 net income of legal entities provided that this income exceeds the amount of one hundred thousand euros (100.000), "ALFA-BETA" Vassilopoulos S.A. informs the investors as follows:
1. The Company in its quarterly financial statements of the period ended 31.03.2010 did not include any note according to par. 21 of IFRS10 due to the fact that the financial statements were published earlier than the enactment of l. 3845/2010, i.e. on 29.04.2010.
2. Based on article 5 of l. 3845/2010, the special levy on the total net income of fiscal year 2010 amounts to 5.5 mio EUR for the Group and 5.0 mio EUR for the Company. The amount of the special levy on group and company level will be accounted for in the financial statements of the period ending 30.06.2010
