HYGEIA Hospital Tirana commenced operations

HYGEIA Group informs the investment community that the new ultramodern hospital HYGEIA HOSPITAL TIRANA commenced operations on July 1st, 2010 with initial capacity of circa 120 beds, operating a General Hospital, a Paediatric clinic and an Obstetrics clinic, and it will cover with safety all types of cases, from diagnosis to treatment process. HYGEIA HOSPITAL TIRANA in full developed will have 220 beds, 12 operating theatres, 5 delivery rooms, 16 I.C.U beds.
The new hospital represents the largest investment ever done (approximately € 60m) in the healthcare service sector in Albania, equipped with cutting-edge technology and is expected to constitute a reference point for the region of Southeast Europe, providing high quality healthcare services in Albania, as well as in neighbouring countries such as Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro.
The state-of-the-art premises of HYGEIA HOSPITAL TIRANA are developed in a multi-storey building of 25,129 sq.m. The hospital lies in a building plot of 13,000 sq.m in an area, located in Kashar, a region of Tirana. Access is easy as the building plot is surrounded by the National Roads SH2 and SH1/E762, which connect the Albanian capital with Durres and North Albania.
