BANK OF CYPRUS to establish a Banking Unit in Dubai
Τhe Board of Directors of Bank Cyprus Public Company Ltd ('the Bank'), as part of its review of the Group's Wealth Management and Private Banking strategy, approved the establishment of a banking unit in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), in the Emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
The banking unit will be based in the DIFC and will be supervised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority. The banking unit will focus on providing Wealth Management and Private Banking services to the Group's existing clientele and to new clients active in the Middle East.
The establishment of the banking unit in Dubai is subject to receiving the appropriate approvals from the relevant regulatory authorities in Cyprus and in Dubai.
