Aegean Airlines informs investors that on March 4, 2011, the Company acquired from Olympic Air, for a financial consideration, in total 4 slots at the airports of London Heathrow (LHR) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). The transaction took place in accordance with European Regulation 95/93. Slots are intangible assets which could be a) used by the Company, b) leased to another airline and c) be exchanged for a financial consideration. Slots in heavily congested airports in Europe have economic value as they can be used from any destination to these airports.
