TERNA is member of the joint venture that was awarded the project of a construction project of 300 million euros, in Qatar.

More specifically, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Qatar awarded the project «Doha Industrial Area Package 2» to the joint venture of the companies “TERNA S.A., Gulf Consolidated Contractors and Wade Adams Contracting WLL.”

The project refers to the reconstruction of urban roadwork of total length of 40 km in an industrial area of 412Ha, while it also includes the construction of a new sewerage network, new sub-stations, as well as smart networks for the management of circulation and telecommunications, among others.

The project is expected to be delivered in three (3) years, whereas the constructor will be responsible for the maintenance of the project for 400 days following its completion.

The new project for TERNA in Qatar is only the most recent one from a series of projects which the Company has undertaken in the broader Middle East region (Qatar, UAE, Bahrain and Iraq) and will add to GEK TERNA Group's construction backlog which currently stands at € 3 billion.
