TERNA S.A., a 100% subsidiary construction company of GEK TERNA Group, has signed an agreement with UEMEDICAL SERVICES LLC for the construction of DANAT AL EMARAT HOSPITAL. The price of the project is € 88 mil.
Danat Al Emarat Hospital is planned to become one of the largest, most luxurious hospitals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the region and is designed to meet the gap in market for Women's Health and Pediatric services. The hospital is located in Officers' City (Gate City), near Al Mussafah Bridge, Abu Dhabi with a total built-up area of 59,000m2 and a capacity of 119 patient beds- rooms, including 7 royal suites and 15 VIP suites. The Project is awarded to TERNA Construction Company and includes the construction of:
a) Hospital Main Building (North Tower) that includes two basements, which are extended almost at the whole plot and house the supporting services, ground & ten floors, roof and upper roof floors with total height 65m.
b) Service Block that includes ground, three & roof floors and accommodates supporting services such as electric substation, generators, chillers, water boilers.
Site services, electromechanical works, loose furniture, landscape and irrigation are included in the Project.
The contract is 22 months. In addition, the second phase of the project is scheduled to be awarded by the end of the year.
TERNA's total backlog reaches c2.1€ bil, while the construction backlog outside Greece amounts to c340€ mil.
