TERNA S.A. was awarded a new energy project with a budget of 20.46 million Euros

-          Contractor in the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator's (DESFA) tender for the upgrade of the compression station in Nea Mesimvria

-          The total budget of the new energy infrastructure and RES projects undertaken by the company in 2020 exceeds 500 million Euros

 

TERNA S.A., 100% subsidiary of GEK TERNA Group, adds another energy project to its portfolio, as it was awarded the tender of the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) for the project "Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the Nea Messimvria Cοmpressor Station Upgrade and five years Maintenance and Advisory Services (Long Term Maintenance and Advisory Agreement – LTSA ". The project budget amounts to 20.46 million euros (including VAT).

More specifically, the project envisages the addition of a third set of Gas Turbine (GT) and Gas Compressor (GC), which will increase the current capacity of the station.

The contractual objective of the project includes detailed engineering, electromechanical / civil works, supply of materials and equipment for the integration of the third compressor and the injection of compressed gas in the network of the ESMFA, the commissioning and start-up of the Station, the training of DESFA'S (Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator) staff, as well as the five-year maintenance of the 3rd compressor.

It is worth noting that, since the beginning of 2020, TERNA has been awarded a series of important energy infrastructure and Renewable Energy Sources projects, including the construction of the converter station for the electrical interconnection between Crete and Attica (as part of a Siemens – TERNA joint venture) for Ariadne Interconnection, the construction of one Reception and Charging Station (Liquefied Natural Gas) at the Terminal Station on Revythousa island for the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator, the construction of a 15MW PV Plant in Kozani for PPC Renewables and the project for the lease of diesel generator sets with a net capacity of 23 MW for Atherinolakkos substation of PPC. With the new project for the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator, the total budget of the energy projects undertaken by the company in 2020 exceeds 500 million Euros.
