TERNA S.A. delivers the first phase of the development of Ayia Napa Marina in Cyprus 

TERNA S.A., 100% subsidiary of GEK TERNA Group, announces that all construction works of the first phase of the luxury development of “Ayia Napa Marina” in Cyprus have successfully reached completion and have been delivered within schedule. The project, with a total budget of € 250 million, comprises of two phases that have both been awarded to TERNA.

The first phase of the project, which was recently completed, includes all marine and infrastructure works, building facilities, internal roadworks and MEP installations. The project's budget is approximately € 80 million. It is noted that the technical company Christoforos D. Konstantinidis S.A. participated in the construction of the first phase as the main and recognized subcontractor of marine projects.

More specifically, the marina with a 600 berth capacity, has depths from 4 up to 6.5 meters and can accommodate yachts up to 65 meters in length, while a four level dry stack storage facility is available for boats up to 10 meters long. The unique aspect of the marina is the finger style berthing for yachts of 30 meters or less while floating docks guarantee comfortable access in all conditions.

The key elements of port infrastructure include:

• The specially engineered wave absorbing breakwater
• The quay of prefabricated concrete blocks
• The backfilling for the creation of the land zone of the marina, where the projects of the 2nd phase are founded
• The dredging of the marina basin
• The leeward pier
• The artificial beach on the western border of the marina

It is reminded that the ongoing second phase, which has also been awarded to TERNA, includes the construction of two towers (high rise), a complex of villas and commercial buildings. More specifically, the two 27 and 28 storeys towers will exceed 115 meters high, totaling ​​28,000 m² and 30,000 m² respectively and will house luxurious apartments. Furthermore, 29 villas shall be constructed totaling a 16,500 m² area. The commercial buildings, to be located in the heart of the Marina, shall consist of a mix area of Retail, Food and Beverage, Event Center and a three-storey above ground parking, totaling ​​more than 8,000 m².
