Crete – Attica Interconnection (budgeted to EUR 1 billion) proceeds to implementation phase

The company “ADMIE (IPTO) HOLDING S.A.” (or “Company”), informs that its affiliate, ADMIE (IPTO) Group, announces that in a special ceremony that will take place on June 10^th 2020 at 12:00 pm (Athens Time), in Heraklion, Crete, the contracts for the Crete – Attica Interconnection will be signed between Ariadne Interconnection, a 100% subsidiary of ADMIE (IPTO) Group and its contractors.

The contractors for the cable sections of the interconnection amounting to EUR 615 million, are NEXANS, PRYSMIAN and HELLENIC CABLES-NKT and the contractor for the Converter Stations amounting to EUR 370 million, is the consortium SIEMENS - TERNA (a company of the GEK TERNA group).

Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Thomas Gerassimos Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy in Charge of Energy and Natural Resources and Ms. Alexandra Sdoukou, General Secretary for Energy and Mineral Resources will also attend the ceremony.

The Project is included in the list of the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the NSRF 2014 – 2020.
