TERNA S.A. wins seven awards at the “Concrete Awards 2019”
TERNA received the Platinum Award for the emblematic project of
"Cultural Center Stavros Niarchos Foundation"
TERNA S.A., 100% subsidiary of GEK TERNA Group, won seven awards in the context of the first Concrete Awards established to promote excellence in the infrastructure sector, that were held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.
Specifically, TERNA received the below awards:
- As a member of TERNA - Salini Impregilo Joint Venture, the company won the Platinum Award for the "Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center" (SNFCC), received the highest rating among all participants.
- For the same project, TERNA won the Gold Award in the category "Hospitality and Cultural Projects - Cultural Sites".
- The company also received the Gold Award in the category "Innovation in concrete composition, structure, form or technology" for the SNFCC project.
- For the Cooling Tower of SES Ptolemais Unit V, TERNA won the Gold Award in the category "Transportation and Ground Engineering Projects, Power Supply and Distribution Network".
- The Tsakona Bridge project was also honored with the Gold Award in the category of "Transportation and Ground Engineering Projects, Roads, Bridges and Tunnels".
- The Golf Clubhouse Navarino Bay project at Pylos received the silver award in the category "Hospitality and Cultural Projects - Recreation Centers".
- Finally, in the category "Transportation and Ground Engineering Projects - Coastal and Marine Structures", the company was awarded the bronze prize for the Ayia Napa Marina project in Cyprus.
The projects were recognized for their high level of know-how, innovation and the use of state- of-the-art technologies, confirming TERNA's 50 year commitment in delivering excellence.
