Pursuant to the provisions of Law 3556/2007 and following receipt of the relevant notification dated 21 March 2016, the company HERACLES GENERAL CEMENT COMPANY SA (hereinafter, the “Issuer”) announces to investors that the company LAFARGEHOLCIM LTD indirectly acquired on 18 March 2016 voting rights corresponding to 4,216,145 shares in the share capital and to 5.93% of the total voting rights in the Issuer, through the acquisition of the above number of shares by LAFARGE CEMENTOS SAU, the direct shareholder of the Issuer, which is ultimately controlled by LAFARGEHOLCIM LTD. In particular, the company LAFARGE CEMENTOS SAU acquired the above shares in the context of the exercise of its squeeze-out right, which had been approved by virtue of the Board of Directors resolution of the Capital Market Commission no. 751/24.02.2016, further to the tender offer it submitted on 30 July 2015 for the acquisition of the total shares of the Issuer. As a result, LAFARGEHOLCIM LTD increased its indirect participation in the Issuer to a percentage exceeding 3 % of the total voting rights in the Issuer and holds as of 18 March 2016 through LAFARGE CEMENTOS SAU, voting rights corresponding to 71,082,707 shares in the share capital and to 100% of the total voting rights in the Issuer.

The direct participation of LAFARGE CEMENTOS SAU in the Issuer as well as the indirect participations of the remaining companies that are controlled by LAFARGEHOLCIM LTD i.e., LAFARGE S.A., which controls the company Société Financière Immobilière et Mobilière (SOFIMO) and Société Financière Immobilière et Mobilière (SOFIMO), which in turn controls the company LAFARGE CEMENTOS SAU, were accordingly increased.
