Paiania, October 8, 2015 - H.E. Mr David Pearce, Ambassador of the United States of America in Athens, along with senior embassy officials visited Intracom premises yesterday.

H.E. Mr David Pearce had a fruitful meeting with Mr Sokratis Kokkalis, founder and major shareholder of Intracom and Intralot groups and the top management team, including Dr. Dimitris Klonis (Chairman, Intracom Holdings), Mr Konstantinos Kokkalis, (CEO, Intracom Holdings), Mr Sokrates S. Kokkalis (Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Intralot), Mr Petros Souretis (CEO, Intrakat), Mr Alexandros Manos (CEO, Intrasoft International) and Dr. George Troullinos (CEO, IDE - Intracom Defense Electronics).

During the visit, Ambassador Pearce had the opportunity to visit the technology sites of Intracom and Intralot premises and was informed about both groups' activities around the globe, focusing on the Greek-US commercial relations that Intracom group has initiated more than 20 years ago, with strategic cooperation with Raytheon, Boeing, IBM and Oracle among others.

Furthermore, in the defense electronics industry IDE has an active participation in defense programs with US defense conglomerates with the contribution of 200+ of highly skilled professionals, while offering important subcontracting work to other Greek companies in the industry. Moreover, IDE has been recognized for its quality and performance by winning the 3-star Supplier Excellence Award, for the last 4 consecutive years, from Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems, while IDE exports to the USA correspond to 6% of the total Greek exports to the USA. 

The Group senior team also discussed with the Ambassador about the investment and activities of Intralot, which currently holds a 24% market share of the US online lottery systems contracts, 110.000+ retail solutions covering a population of 60 million, employing 400 technologies professionals at Intralot Innovation Center in Athens who work in supporting the US operations.
