Announcement – Reply to query of the CMC

In reply to letter Ref. No 3321/01.10.2015 of the Capital Market Commission, ELLAKTOR SA informs investors as follows:

As announced by our company on 20.12.2013, the concession project in relation to the Design, Construction, Financing, Operation and Maintenance of the Comarnic - Brasov section of the Bucharest – Brasov motorway in Romania was awarded to the joint venture consisting of Group subsidiary AKTOR Concessions SA (25%), Vinci Concessions SAS (37.5%) and STRABAG AG (37.5%), following a lowest-bid procedure issued by the Romanian Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure which is represented by C.N.A.D.N.R. – National Motorway and National Road Company of Romania. However, while it was reasonably expected that the relevant project concession contract would be signed, the National Motorway and National Road Company of Romania (C.N.A.D.N.R.) decided to cancel the above tender procedure for reasons beyond the responsibility of the joint venture that was awarded the contract, discharging the latter from all liability and obligation in relation to its participation in the tender procedure. 

In view of the above, the joint venture is already considering filing an appeal against the above decision by exercising all legal remedies available to it.

This announcement is published following a relevant query by the Capital Market Commission.
