Comments on press articles

With regard to press articles concerning the strategy of Hellenic Petroleum S.A. (ELPE) for the electricity sector, PPC SA clarifies that it is open to partnerships with strong companies such as ELPE, however the sale of generation units is not in PPC's plans.

It is also noted that, as it has been repeatedly stated, for the further opening up of the retail electricity market with fair competition rules, reliable and prestigious companies need to be involved, which, on the one hand will make investments and on the other hand will target all consumers, undertaking reasonable risks without pursuing quick and easy profits to the detriment of end consumers.
