Announcement pursuant to Law 3556/2007

MYTILINEOS S.A. (the “Company”) pursuant to the provisions of Law 3556/2007 (article 3 par. 1 p(bb) and article 21) and Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on market abuse, announces that the Company' Board of Directors elected on 18.09.2017 as new non-executive member Mr. Georgios Chryssikos, replacing the non-executive member Mr. Wade Burton, who resigned, for the rest of his tenure, namely until 01.06.2021. The election of the new member will be ratified by then next General Meeting of the Company's Shareholders, in accordance with the provisions of the codified law 2190/1920 and the Company's Articles of Association.

The Company welcomes to the Board Mr. Chryssikos who enjoys the trust of the strategic shareholder, Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, and is expected to contribute from his new position to its further development.

CV of Georgios Chryssikos

George Chryssikos serves as Chief Executive Officer of Grivalia Group. Together with his team, they have completed real estate transactions of over €700mil., building up Grivalia Properties' portfolio. He has also founded Grivalia Hospitality platform to deploy capital in the very attractive high-end hospitality sector in Greece and abroad. He is a member in the Boards of Grivalia, Eurobank, and Praktiker. In the past he has held senior positions in international organizations.  

George holds an MBA in Corporate Finance & Strategy from Columbia Business School (NY), an MSc in Engineering & Construction Management from UC Berkeley (CA) and a MEng in Civil Engineering from National Technical University of Athens. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). In his younger age, George was a National Champion in sailing and member of the Greek National Sailing Team for many years.
