Tora Wallet licensed as an Electronic Money Institution by the Bank of Greece

 Services to be provided through OPAP's agency network

OPAP Group announces that the procedure for the licensing of Tora Wallet, a 100% subsidiary of the group, as an Electronic Money Institution by the Bank of Greece has been completed. This development marks the official commencement of Tora Wallet's activities in the financial services sector through OPAP's agency network.

The first service to be offered by Tora Wallet in the market concerns the payment of all kinds of bills (telephony, power, water supply etc.). Moving forward, the company will provide services for remittances inside Greece and abroad, as well as the possibility to open a payments account, combined with a debit card.

Tora Wallet's services will become available to the broader public gradually, though OPAP agencies, which span across Greece. To provide these services, OPAP agents will be certified as Electronic Money Institution representatives from Bank of Greece, based on the provisions of the European regulatory framework on payments.

At the same time, OPAP's agency network provides consumers with access to the services of Tora Direct, a group subsidiary, such as the sale of airtime for mobile phones, and the promotion of electric power connections in cooperation with alternative providers while services like issuing tickets for sports events and other shows are expected to follow, among others.
