Reply to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission's request dated 10.4.2013

In reply to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission's request dated 10.4.2013, regarding the announcement in the website www.bankingnews.gr, Eurobank Ergasias S.A. informs the investment community that from Sunday, April 7, 2013, the date on which it was informed of the decision of the competent regulatory authorities for the suspension of the merger procedures with the National Bank of Greece SA and its independent recapitalization, has made no contact with either representatives of "MARFIN INVESTMENT GROUP SA Holdings" or other investors.

The Bank evaluates all possible options and in accordance with pertinent law, shall make the necessary announcements in due time and manner.
